Madrid is a cosmopolitan city where you can try about all types of food.

In Lavapies there is an overload of African- and Indian restaurants, in the area of Cuatro Caminos one can enjoy the treats from Peru and Ecuador and around- and in the city center of Madrid there are numerous restaurants that offer food from for example Mexico, Italy and of course plenty of local food.

Nevertheless, in the blog of this month we are sharing some valuable information about restaurants that offer Asian food, that you cannot miss out on while visiting the capital of Spain.

Let´s start off with some Japanese restaurants!

SUMO (Fuencarral, 116)

Despite of being part of a restaurant chain (there is another one on Plaza de Chueca and more are planning on opening soon), their buffet is a very generous option for bellies with an appetite.

For the price between 15 and 20€ depending on the day of the week, you can choose 15 dishes per person. They are relatively small, but we can assure you that it is truly difficult to eat all of them.

BANZHAI (Espíritu Santo, 16)

Specialized in sushi and with an average price of 25€ per person, they have managed to reach great popularity, all thanks to the skills of their chef for making the best maki´s, shashimi and tempura dishes.

One tip: on the website El Teneder you can find discounts up to 40% on the menu price list of this restaurant. Do not miss it!

MAKI (San Joaquín, 16)

Located on the central Plaza de San Ildefonso, they offer their guests sushi platters with different prices.

If you are in the mood to eat something fast and cheap while enjoying a sunny day, this is the place for you.

If you want to enjoy other types of Asian food, nearby Mad4You there is a wide selection of exotic restaurants other than the ones specialized in sushi. Continue reading to find out some recommendations from our team.

NI HAO (Silva, 20)

This place is always filled with Asian guests, which can only mean that the food they serve is similar to the food they serve in China.

Their specialty is the hot pot, a large pot of soup divided into spicy broth and non spicy broth that is kept warm thanks to the fire pit under the table.

How it works is easy. You need to choose some raw ingredients (seaweed, chicken, pork, rice balls, etc.) that will be cooked within the pot. The price is around 15€ per person and we can assure you that you will enjoy typical and delicious Chinese food.

EL REY DE LOS TALLARINES (San Bernardino, 2)

Its decoration and their menu , similar to all typical Asian restaurants, is not very inviting to enter this Asian family restaurant. Nevertheless, it has turned into one of the most mythical restaurants of Madrid thanks to its specialty which, it could not be anything else, is noodles.

Every day, around 1pm, they prepare fresh homemade noodles themselves so they will be ready around lunch time. For 9€ you can enjoy a menu that includes a starter, a noodle dish, the specialty, beef or prawns and a desert or coffee.

LE PETIT HANOI (Velarde, 8)

And, to finish it off, if you would like to experiment with other Asian specialties, we are recommending you to check out the Vietnamese restaurant Le Petit Hanoi.

This little restaurant, also nearby Mad4You Hostel,  stands out due do its friendly atmosphere and, of course, due to its specialties in which spring rolls and noodles stand out. They also offer an interesting selection of desserts and even coffee, tea and beer from their country for just 15€ per person.
